It is common for these to go funds to go unclaimed for generations as these are not always included when the Māori Land Court process searches for succession applications. Succession needs to be completed for funds to be distributed but in the case of most trusts, you still need to advise of unclaimed dividends they hold under your tūpuna name to receive those outstanding funds.
